when my computer starts up why dos my c:/windows load up automatic  when i dont even ask for it to load up at the start. how can i stop this happening

Do you mean why does windows load automatically? That's what it's designed to do. I don't think you can stop it if you're running XP or NT, but you can with the Dos based systems.
Have a look to see if there's some sort of shortcut to C:\Windows in your startup folder. Click Start... Programs... Startup.
A fantastically useful bit of free software can be got from
http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml which will show you all the things that startup on your PC and let you prevent them temporarily or permanently. Just don't stop anything important!
