I'm planning on making a CD for christmas. My fav song is It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas. Has anyone got any other suggestion? I would really like to hear a few that I've never heard of before which are good. It's hard to find a decent christmas song. I got a cd with 100 on it and only 25 or so were decent.

lovely!
Try Musicalfruitcake for the worst ever Christmas songs. Really cringeworthy for a laugh.
It's not very traditional but one of my favourites is 'The elves lament' by Barenaked Ladies - about Santa's little helpers rebelling against their harsh working conditions. It's on the album 'barenaked for the holidays'.
Here's a little bundle of Barenaked christmas songs to check out -

Please ignore the bad videos, just enjoy the songs.

Thanks, there's a right bit to peruse there.
Google Cool Christmas CD at amazon it gives you the list of Christmas songs on that CD (not carols I may add)
When I make up my compilation Christmas CD I always like to include songs that not everyone hears very often and isn't played to death.

I always make sure these three songs are on my CD:
Just ignore the YouTube Videos.

Martina McBride - O Holy Night (Acapella Intro)

Jimmy Durante - Make Someone Happy

Shakin' Stevens - The Best Christmas Of Them All

You must also include Fairytale of New York by The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl.
Everyones taste in music is different so you may not like my selection.
You must include 'Carol of the Bells'. My favourite version is by the Harlem Boys' Choir.

And Enya's version of 'O Come, O Come, Emmanuel' is superb.
put the sprouts on now while your at it...
Wombling Merry Christmas!
Sorry if my posting is rather late but I really like Driving home for Christmas by Chris Rea. What about the Pogues one - Fairy Tale of New York, sorry somebody already suggested that one. I also like the one by Marilyn Monroe, Santa Baby put a sable under the tree for me, I've been an awful good girl......... etc, can't remember the name of it.
Did you see the kylie version of Santa Baby ? it was ver good :o)
