is this fair
Thanks Lakitu, yes I should be able to put all this behind me,but for some reason I am unable to do so, it haunts me to this day. Another view, I would say yes I know the saying very well, however when these opportunities present themselves to you, the last thing on your mind is getting captured. Sara 3, you must be sitting at home bored ********, and unable to understand what this is all about. The fact of the matter is that the law and the police system in the UK is corrupt beyond belief, I did not set out to whinge about other peoples sentences, yes I admit I commited a crime but so did my fellow defendant, why should he go free because of a letter from some knob supposedly from the aristocracy. The law is not to be messed about with, I would question that remark. What it is supposed to do is treat all as equals.

Firstly, you can reply to your own question, just below your question there is an option to reply, your reply will appear below the last response.
Secondly, unfortunetly there is injustice the world over, but I can't stress enough you're wasting your life stressing about it so long after the event. Could you consider talking through your feelings with a counsellor and finally closing the door on it?
Lastly, don't shout at Sara, she's lovely really :o)

glad you sussed out the alias, your comments are appreciated and constructive. As a footnote my friend Mr T scarpered off to the USA still owing me 10k for goods received albeit not before getting involved in another theft from BT, and again walking away scot free. Can you see why I am bitter, he now resides in the Panamanian jungle. Hope he gets bitten by something nasty. Myself, yes it taught me a lesson, never re-offended, you really need to experience those sort of places to appreciate your freedom, don't believe what you see on the tv, I never saw a snooker or ping pong table whilst I was there, only cockroaches and mice running over you all night. Must say that the officers I came into contact with were first rate, just ordinary guys doing a job.
I've just got the name too (only after it was pointed out).
I said in my previous post that it seems the Judge did get it wrong. Hopefully the CA put it right. I have to disagree that the law and police system is corrupt beyond belief though. There is corruption and ineptitude in every walk of life, and I accept there are some corrupt or just plain bad lawyers, judges and police officers. In the main however most are not corrupt and most seek justice and do so fairly.
It is a fair system since you are innocent until proven guilty - unlike many other jurisdictions.
