problem boiler

my combi boiler woerks fine when calling for hot water during the summer months but once i need to switch between hot water and heating radiators during the winter months the pilot light will regularly fail therefore producing neither. a climb into the loft and a flick of the reset switch solves the problem but up and down to the loft every 3-7 days is a pain in the ..... any advice before i contact a plumber
