Hi there, me and my poor litte 10 year old are stuck. He has to find 18% of 35. I don't want to show him the wrong way but I thought as 1% is 3.5 you would multiply 3.5 by 18. Easier said than done as the 'chunking method of division' I learnt last week. How can I multiply these two this way or is there a simpler method . tyia

Fox Lee in reply to your question, maths is not his best subject and he is quite shy. He doesn't always like to say in class when he is stuck. When he comes home with stuff he finds hard I like to help; it's what mums do. I am sure you would do the same .
