Why is windscreen washer not working on Ford Focus

I have checked to see whether I have water in the bottle. but when I try to use the windscreen washer. can hear a whirring noise but no water is sprayed onto the screen. any suggestions what the problem is?

if you can hear the motor then it could just be that the pipe has come away from the nozzle

i had this. on the pump its self there is a rubber grommit that helps to hold it in the bottle. There is a mesh bit built onbto that which gets blocked up. just need to remove the pump and the rubber grommet and clean it. i just took the whole lot off and cleaned the bottle out aswell.

It was cold last night. Are you sure it's not just frozen?

I wud also say its frozen! try it when its a bit warmer ,
put some real good quality screen wash in not that �2 for 5 gallon rubbish sold at the supermarket .....

im with damienhigh, seen the gauze on the little rubber seal blocked with gunge mnay a time, particularly in england and wales as the water has more limescale.
