hiya i was just wondering if anybody knows how long it takes to get ur money through off a car injury claim? Last week (5 dec) my solicitor sed he had put his first request in to the third party insurers, so i was just wondering that iff they say yes to that request how long it takes.

My car accident injury (broken leg), took 3 years, and I have to have a medical examination by a doctor appointed by the other party's insurers. However, I did receive �5,000, even though it was a long wait. I also had to pay �250 in advance for insurance against costs, for if the case was lost, however, this was returnable in the event of winning the case. Sorry I can't give you any better news.

my car accident happend in july, but we have only just been able to move forward with the claim because the 3rd party wudnt admit liability ( prob coz im a young girl thought he cud get away with saying it was my fault) , but hes insurers have accepted liability on his behalf. i have already had my examination in august.

you probably need to be thinking in years rather than months/weeks
Even when my husband was knocked off his bike by someone who's fault it clearly was, it took a couple of years to actually have the cash in his hand

sorry to say this but... after my accident the 3rd party admitted liability straight away and.....

I got my compensation 4 years later.

Mine took a year but apparently that was quick
