Crossing legs in pregnancy???

Why is it i get told off every time in crossmy legs???

p.s 6 days over and still nothing lol!!!!

I don't know, but frankly you're lucky you can still cross your legs LOL

I would imagine that it makes it difficult for baby's head to descend into your pelvis and engage if your legs are crossed. I remember feeling like I had waterlemon down there at 6days over!

keep them uncrossed, it may help get babys head on cervix if you sit astride a dining chair and face the back.

dont attempt if you have SPD, though you probably havnt if you can cross legs :)

I've never come across that one either. And I couldn't cross my legs either at that stage.
However my favorite possition at this point was sitting cross legged on the floor.
It was the only way I ws able to get comfy.

im confused? why cant you cross your legs?? mind you i had the smallest of bumps with my first and im 21 weeks and not much to show, i guess that makes the difference! i was 2 weeks and 2 days late with my first tho so i can imagine how u are feelign, it does get frustrating, and tiring and i just wanted to see my baby!! lol xx

The 'not crossing your legs' is to do with circulation problems,some women get really swollen feet and ankles in late pregnancy and crossing your legs(or even just crossing them at the ankles) can cause the swelling to worsen. The same applies after an operation when you may be bedridden.
