Perhaps I'm fussy, but does anyone else dislike the awkward design of 2009 calendars in the shops now? Most of them are far too big and packaged in such a way that they unfold and take up twice as much space as one might expect. I bought some to use as Christmas gifts but, when I took the plastic cover off one of them, I was disappointed to find it was quite unsuitable for most normal situations and resented having spent money. Has anyone else had this experience or perhaps bought other things for Christmas and realised they had made a mistake?

Agree completely, I haven't found calendars I like for the last couple of years now. It also bugs me that none seem to have the spiral wire on them now, which meant you could just flip the page over. Now they have a hole at the top of the page and by the time you get half way through the year you've torn all the tops of the pages. Grrrrr!!!

Interesting, thank you horselady. I was beginning to think perhaps I was the only one to have that little moan. Anyone with MS Publisher on their computer could find some useful templates for making their own calendars, but again the problem is how to assemble them so that the pages can be turned over. Any ideas on this would be welcome.
