'Afternoon, all!

I'm looking for a big (5'-ish) fish tank/aquarium, but I'm trying to find the cheapest tank there ever was. Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to find one, please? eBay's okay so far, but I just wondered if it was possible to find them even cheaper anywhere else... :o\

Thanks in advance! :)

Yer gets wot yer pays fer.

A second hand tank is likely to have scratches on it. Used heaters may have the seals cracked where moisture may creep in. I have seen 2nd hand setups advertised for more than new.

Even cheap new tanks need attention when purchasing. The odd cheapskate (novice?) tank builder will skimp on the thin coating of silastic between the actual joints which makes the whole affair a pretty weak contraption and, if not leaking, will promote algae growth in the joint which will be impossible to clean.
Contact your closest aquarium club (through Citizen's Advice or Library) and one of their members will probably make tanks - cheaper for members.
type in Freecycle.co.uk.....plenty on there for free.....and it's not duff stuff.
Try WWW.Gumtree(your city/town here) you're sure to find one on here.
