Adore them, my favs and always my xmas pressy till my 95y Aunty died last year. Ofcourse I miss her dearly and also her sweeties.

They're expensive 'cause they're hand made and hand painted.

I just buy a slab of marzipan now and eat that - haven't the time for fripperies.

Yes, love the marzipan fruits provided they are still fresh, have a good amount of almonds in them (some are almost all sugar) and squidgy!!! Strawberry and banana prob favourite but I like them all because they are marzipan.....love or Hate like marmite!!!!

I agree that a slab cut into squares hits the spot but have you tried the choc coated marzipan bars in Lidl??? They come in each year about the end of November in several varieties, dated till about June next year, when it's sold out you have to wait till the following year. My favourite is the one with pieces of pineapple in it and some rum. I tried the rum and raisin one but prefer the pineapple one. I have to get some for a friend of mine, too. YUM
Ugh, marzipan. Hate the stuff
