I've just bought my first computer - a Dell laptop - and I've been recommended BT broadband. Is this good advice?

I have had it for ages and had no problems with it at all. The download limit a month is excellent, too. 30Gb month = 1Gb a day! There are some companines that give u 1Gb a MONTH. Iv been with quite a few ISP's over the years, and in my opinion, BT are the best.
Amongst many others, Tiscali are offering 1Mbps BroadBand at 15.99 per month. They offer 2Mbps BroadBand at 19.99 (8 less than Potatoman's ISP) but they have a monthly useage limit of 15Gb.
For 30Gb with Wanadoo, it's also 27.99.
AOL's 2Mbps BroadBand costs 29.99 but, in fairness, you do get quite a bit more for your money.
Bulldog are currently offering 4Mb broadband with no download limit for only 19.50 per month.
