Ethel recently asked a question about washing powder at Lidl or Aldi.
I think most of us are dubious of them because of their prices but some of their stuff is very good. My latest 'find' is Opticat Pouch Food for cats. My two are very fussy and tend to favour Whiskas, but get fed up of it now and again so I've tried all the makes in Tesco and Sainsburys. But never have I had such an enthusiastic response from them as I have had with Opticat. They lick their dishes clean and ask for more!! I'm thinking of changing Snowy's name to Oliver.

I think I'll have to try that for mine, thanks! I have probably tried nearly every cat food on the market for them but haven't tried that one yet.
hmm, ta for that. Our two wont eat whiskers only Felix but I wish they'd eat some own brands. So much cheaper. I once tested the theory that if they were hungry enough they would eat what I put down but the little one point blank refused and went on hunger strike. She's skinny enough as it is so felt too guilty to keep it up!

It's the bane of a cat lover's life - they are so stubborn about what they will eat. When we had boxers they would eat anything (including our post!!)
Given a choice Frankie would eat Roast Beef from the deli in Tesco at every meal. But it is usually Felix that they get - but it would be nice to try something else for when they are being annoying little ba*****s and refusing to eat the Felix.

I shall toddle up to Lidl and maybe Aldi to have a look. Thanks.
Mine absolutely love Lidl's cat food, and Aldi's, too! Their Vitacat is cheap and the girls adore it. It's so much cheaper than Felix or Whiskas K
i will have to try that when issy had her accident she would not eat i bought all sorts of goodies in tins and pouches she would not touch any of it the only thing she would eat was tescos own which she has every day that was the only thing i didnt give her as i tried all the nice goodies first !

HC loved Aldi cat food at first, especially the gravy ones but then he started just licking the gravy off and leaving most of the meat.

I tried him on Asda pouches and he likes them which is great as I can get a load of them on home delivery with biccies, litter etc... to last him a while.

The last shop they sent the Asda foil trays instead and he loves though, gobbles it up and asks for more.

Thanks Jen. I'm sure mine will get fed up of the Lidl food eventually - cats are like that. So I will keep Asda in mind. It's easier to feed the family than the cats!!
do they do kitten food in Lidl or Ai? my old cat used the have Aldi cat food sometimes but kittens have different food.

by the way what was the outcome of the question about soap powder.

i usually buy whats on offer in the supermarket.

thank you

I don't know about the kitten food but I will check next time I'm there.
Ethel had replies which encouraged her to try the washing powder but she hasn't posted any feedback as far as I'm aware.
I know a friend of mine (with German parentage) always uses their dishwasher powder.
