how to block bebo account.

My 12 yr old son has a bebo account which i wish to block due to him using this site to network with negative peer influences., especially elder youths involved in gang related activities. How do I do this? .

This is a difficult one. Even if you block it from your computer, who's to say he won't access his account from school, friend's computers, internet cafes or even his mobile phone.

Perhaps you should speak to his school and see if they can arrange a talk by someone from a community project against Knife Crimes and gangs, so he can gain some insight into the reality of gang culture. Perhaps he sees this lifestyle as glamourous, as many youngsters theses days seem to.

The problem you may have is that he will just set up another one! Try talking to him about your concerns - if you block it he is more likely to be angry with you and you know what kids are like - the less you want them to do it, the more they will!
I had some concerns about my daughter and Bebo so I set up an account myself! You can then look at their account if they do not have the privacy setting on and they do not know you have looked! Sounds sly but it actually put my mind at rest and I no longer feel the need to peek! You dont add a photo and use an ambiguous user name and off you go!
Tell your boy that you want to treat him like an adult and not a child and that you want to have a conversation with him about your concerns as you love him.
