Two months ago I upgraded my phone with o2 to an n95 8gb, with a really great reduced tariff for the next 18 months (20 per month with 600 minutes, 1000 texts, and free web bolt on).

However two months in I realise I don't like the phone and I want to upgrade to an Iphone. I am aware though that my trial period is up and it is too late to send my phone back.

My question is this, if I buy an Iphone pay as you go through o2 and put my normal sim in, will it work and will I still have my amazing tariff for the next 16 months.

I have called o2 three times and they are being very cagey with the details, as if they're not allowed to tell me "yes it will work fine".

Anybody know for certain? I have heard people talking about having to get the phone unlocked, but I'm already with o2 so this shouldn't be a problem. Some people have also told me that I need to be on a specific iphone tariff for the phone to work but is this right or not?

as far as I''m aware and this was certainly the case last xmas, iphones have their own tarrifs the cheapest of which is 30/month. Are you sure you want one, my daughter has one and she thought it was the cats whiskas last xmas, now she hates it. They don't do picture messaging by the way and they're always covered in horrible fingerprints, yuk
