Internet Explorer Bug Fix?

With Microsoft initially down playing this latest bug and fixing it in record time did anyone have any computer malfunction recently? Personally I lost my screen saver and was left with a blank background, whether this was coincidence or not.

Its good I suppose we now have a choice of browsers to work from. Bill Gates must have been one of the most hated figures on the planet. I cannot see why? He is probably the most philanthrophic person on the planet with much of his wealth going to good charity causes.
