Having had hardly any problems with e-bay before, I bought a bronze/copper/marble sculpture of a yacht for the BF off e-bay. Duly paid by PayPal to some bloke in Canada who certainly seemed genuine - he e-mailed me to say he posted it on the 1st december but it still hasn't arrived.

Have I been done? Am I being a tad impatient? It's not as though Canada is the other side of the world... is it?

morning salla.. I see your point! have you contacted him to say it's not arrived? has he told you what postal method he has used? can it be tracked?

I hope he's genuine and helpful, but otherwise contact Paypal. I know some people say they are rubbish, but I've found them very helpful in the past.

best of luck :o)

Thanks sara. I last heard from him, via e-mail, on the 12th - I have contacted him since, but no reply. I see he intended to send it 'canada letter post' - which seems a bit odd to me now, as it is a heavy item - I didn't notice that at the time.

all I can do is wait I supose...

On the plus side - his feedback is fantastic - 777 items, 100% positive, member since 2004 - recent transactions have got good report. So, I'm sure I'll get the sculpture... eventually.
If he has that amount of positive feedback, try to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

I was getting concerned about something I bought and it was coming from Hong Kong. I paid for the item at the end of November and it still hadn't arrived at the beginning of this week so I mailed and asked about it, the seller said he had posted it but if it didn't arrive for Christmas, he'd give me a refund. It arrived that afternoon as it happens - typical LOL.

Hope you're keeping well, haven't spoke to you for ages x

Thanks Lakitu.
Like almost everyone else, I have been poorly woes. First the 'flu-type virus which knocked me for six, then I thought I was coming down with the winter vomiting bug - but after just the one huge explosion, projectile vomiting & shaking/sweating episode yesterday - it all fizzled out & came to nothing. thank goodness.
puts down sausage and egg buttie<.i>

Err, well at least you're well now LOL :o)

sorry !!!

In my profession we get used to talking about such bodily functions as a matter of course. We can quite happily hold a conversation about diarrhoea, ulcers, pus & gore whilst all the time merrily munching away on our sarnies....
That's true sallabananas , you can easily eat your sarnies after having your hand stuffed up where the sun don't shine !
Oh for goodness sake!

Patience Sally it can take weeks for stuff to come from Canada due to customs etc.but you should be covered by paypal.
If he lives in Vancouver or Calgary I've got some relatives who can "sort him out" if you have any problems :-)
