Repared category C damaged car - to buy or not to buy??
Hi there,
I wonder if someone could help?
I am desperately looking to buy LHD car - to drive home for Christmas.
I saw this 2003 Peugeot 206 but the ad says it's a cat. C damaged repared by a "specialist 206 repair centre - a bar at the front was damaged and instead of repairing it they replaced and rewelded the bar properly"...
Do you think such a car could be any good? What bar do they mean and would you say it was a bad accident? I really don't want to brake down somewhere in the middle of my long journey...
Also what would you pay for this car? Isn't 2500 they asking far too much??
Thank you for help!
PS: If you have a LHD no more 10 years old and under 2000 for quick sale - I am interested! :-)

Bye one that is in Reasonable condition without being a problem, you say the cars asking price is 2500 the bar you mention, I think you are talking about the front Sub Frame if that has had excess damage there is every chance that the alignment of the car is out that mean the car will need rejigging this is a very costly job, stick with your search with 2000 you will pick one up for that price.
