MM Links Solutions December 2008 [Week 3]

As Lady Slaney wends her way to the South Pole (looking for Father Christmas or gen2?) she left behind her Link Words for Week 3. They proved to be her most expensive (in terms of points scored) to date. I suppose we can think of them as early Christmas presents. As the clock strikes 7 o'clock, I can now reveal that her chosen links based on the theme of

A Quirky Quadruplet :

SNOW White
CANDLE Light
Night WATCH(MAN)
SECOND Sight

There were many points on offer for those playing "Catch Up"!

This week, the first entrant was newcomer abendigo who was quick on the button, but failed to pick up any points! Not so for those thereafter, as fordward was first to claim SNOW WHITE for TWO POINTS followed closely by x-ray with the same Snow White. Next came Grenmus with SECOND SIGHT for more bonus points.

He was followed by regular jan1956 who delivered a double whammy with Snow White AND Second Sight to pick up FOUR POINTS. Her success was mirrored by ex-champion lysander who also had SECOND SIGHT but in addition brought in the new Hit with NIGHT WATCH to claim yet another FOUR POINTS.

These were the high scorers of the round, but since one entrant had tasted glory during an earlier month ~ I nominate jan1956 as HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK!

Around this same time, Entrant #7 in the form of the amazing Christiana picked Two Points for a prompt Second Sight ~ and Entrant #10, Dinkypuzzled scored THREE POINTS for a slightly delayed Double Hit! Scoring from these three links continued at a steady rate, but the one last link was about to fall.

Towards the end of the hour, fred1941 sauntered in by CANDLE LIGHT to claim the final link! However, single points trickled out as the game came to a graceful end.


The top of the League Table after this third week is:

FOUR POINTS: Christiana, fordward, jan1956, kettledrum, lysander & miss meg
THREE POINTS: Dinkypuzzled & Strix
TWO POINTS: centrino, cliffyg, evsajo, fred1941, Grenmus, roslyn, sarumite, wickedtongue & x-ray



With only one week to go, the scores are tightly packed for anyone from the leading groups can win! However, you must be in it to win it! This week the Snow Queen, Lady Slaney, well and truly thawed, but will this continue into her fourth and final week of MM Links?

I bet seekeerz,having returned to her scoring role, will be ruing in the morn working out how to mark the KM Links !!

gen2, in the mean time, will, I suspect, be deeply envious of slaney on Christmas Day.

Congratulations jan - deserved hot shot of the week.
I broke my duck and scored this week.
Would like to add my best wishes for Christmas to you all,
especially the "Links crowd" - what wonderful friends you are - I feel I know you so well.
Yes strix, I think steff (seekeerz, gonesailing) will have a job tomorrow sorting out the KM links answers.
