HI
I have booked a surprise holiday for my boyfriend on Expedia and I have just found out i have spelled his middle name wrong! I typed 'Earnest' instead of 'Ernest'. Will it be ok still or so you think i will have to change it?! Really worried now :-(

Please help!

Thank you

I was just going to do the Importance of Being Ernest" gag ...

But InAP has beaten me to it.

Thanks guys, I was hoping it would be ok. Yeah, his first name and second name are correct - just the middle 'Earnest'. I think i must have been thinking of 'The importance of being Earnest' when i booked it. Im such an idiot!!
Depends where you're going. Some countries are extremely strict about this whereas others, mainly EC are OK and barely glance at the passport. Have you already got the tickets? Expedia may not charge for such a small change anyway. (I don't know 'cos I've not dealt with them at all.) I had to change my age with an on line booking agency (clicked on wrong year when booking) and they just changed it with on charge.

We are going to Budapest for 3 nights.... do you think that would be ok?
Thinking about this there are only two occasions when the ticket and passport are used together and thats when you check in for both outbound and inbound flights, now I know that the airlines usually allow two wrong letters in a name so you should be ok. enjoy
went to budapest and they barely looked at the passport, they definitely didn't check tickets against passports. The girls at the gate barely looked at the tickets...
Rumour has it your allowed '3 mistakes'. So you should be fine :D
An incorrectly spelt middle name is not going to cause you any problems whatsoever.

I booked flights with Emirates to Bangkok through Expedia, but due to their site being down at the time, I had to book by telephone, relying on somebody else to correctly enter my details. Instead of putting my first name as 'Michael', they entered the it as 'Micheal'. Not the end of the world, but it was incorrectly spelt!

A quick call to the airline confirmed that there would no problems.

Have a great time in Budapest. I went 4 years ago and had a brilliant tiem.
