Can you use an American PSP in the UK with no drawbacks? I know the games are region free but what about using it for images/videos/music?

Should be alright, the only things to worry about are power supplies and warranties, the formats for images (gif/jpeg presumably) video (avi/mpg) and music (mp3) are pretty much universal. I'd wait for an official UK one.
