what does everyone do on xmas eve?

we just watch the films on tv, normally bbc1 and we watch the other things on there too, and we eat some chocolate but not too much because we have to save ourselfs!

and then my 4 year old brother puts some milk out for santa bless him and so my mum will drink that when he goes to sleep.

just wondering does anyone do anything different? my uncle goes out to get the presents for us thats for sure!

my kids are too old for the Santa routine :o(

but every Christmas eve we see my best friend and her kids.. and we're looking forward to seeing them :o)

we go to watch the childrens mass at thechurch where the little ones do a nativity at 6pm, then go home into a new pair of pj's for the kds. we put milk and cookies out for santa then we sit in the bedroom window lookingg for santa when the boys ( 2 and 3 ) think they can see himm in the sky daddy rings some bells, they then think santa is on his way and dive ino bed.
me and daddy then relax watchin tele with a glass of port. before we go to bed we put a small present on the boys beds for them.

These days, with even my grandson insisting there is doubt over the existance of father Christmas, it is a family roast dinner and plenty of drinking and music and then when they have all had a few scoops, they come around to my way of thinking and start to believe in Father Christmas all over again!!!

Christmas Eve? A nightmare.. I've 10lbs of spuds to peal, A huge swede to dice, 3lbs of carrots to peal and slice.
Stuffing to mix, Brussles to peal, Turkey to marinade PHEW!! then I have a glass of Sherry and fall into bed. Only to be awoken at 5 am by my G/kids who want to tell me Father Christmas has been.
But I wouldn't change a minute of it. Merry Christmas.

My sister just phoned and said "lets go to the pub for lunch". I thought that sounded like a great idea so I will see you all on Boxing Day!!!

Got some family coming over later. Some are here already. Tonight, we'll get all the presents out, put some goodies out for Santa and his reindeer, put some music on and chill out ,and then all traipse off to Midnight Mass. Come back, have a few drinks, flop into bed - and then be woken up again about 4 a.m i should think!!
