11 Answers
I was at work most of xmas, but my colleagues were telling me that christmas eve was horrendous, they had only gone in to supermarkets and shops for last minute things,to find they had to queue for some 30 to 40 minutes, and this was at 7am and 9am in different outlets,i thought most peeps had it all ready by that time???

We went for our turkey etc on tuesday afternoon. Went to local Somerfield first, no turkeys left so didn't bother as always big queues there. Nowhere else locally to get fresh stuff so:
Then went 15 miles to next town, Lidl had no bread, manky sprouts and no turkeys, came out empty handed.
Tried Tesco superstore, got turkey, sprouts and other fresh goods ok, 1 person in front of us in checkout queue.
People wonder why Tesco got to be so big, the answer is that they provide what people want at reasonable prices. I would prefer to shop locally but refuse to buy inferior veggies and queue for hours.
