Has anyone ever bought a settee from Argos ? They have a really nice looking one that is quite cheap but hubby reckons it will be rubbish.

For me, I love the older sofas which are all comfy and squashy and long enough you can lie right out on them.

My parents got a new suite and I just don't get it, it's like a hard leather and just too hard and shiny and you just seem to slide off it!!!

My brother and sis in law got a suite from Argos a couple of years ago and it's still going strong. It's kept it shape.

I got my leather suite from DFS 5 years ago and it's only the last few months I've been thinking about getting a new one, more because this doesn't suite where I live now, the suite is still good.

YEARS ago, my ex and i bought a VERY<VERY expensive sofa that really made you sit up straight-lol Even after about 7yrs-when we went our seperate ways-it was still uncomfortable. I now have a second-hand sofa with down back cushions that is long,soft and 'squisshy',,,,I paid alll of �80 for it and I love it.
As for Argos......I would have doubts about their stuff. Why not try some of the welsh mail order furniture companies that advertise at the back of 'home' mags???.....they are supposed to be good value.
