There customer service dept is absolute cack!!
Her car had 47 different faults from new - but Ford said as long s it was driveable they would not replace it.
The last straw was when I borrowed it - pulled out onto a main road and although the engine was turning - there was no drive - all this with a 32 ton artic lorry bearing down on me. My son threatened the dealer with the motoring press and media and she was given a brand new replacement - after having a few minor troubles in the 1st year she took it in for a warranty repair at about 14 months old - it was a convertable and the roof was leaking. She was told that the roof was classed as outside the vehicle so was covered for 3 years but the seals were classed as inside and therefore considered interior which is only warranted for a year.
She traded it in or a Mitsubishi CZT turbo Black Hawk version and hasnt been happier.
The moral of my story give Ford a very wideberth!!!
