I have just bought a 2005 smart forfour. The internal light is not working, even though the bulfb and fuse are OK. Anyone else had same trouble?

Find the door switch and take it out and have a look to see if the cable has fell off or the connections are corroded....

dicso fever - I have look for the door switch and cannot see any of the normal switches/grommits etc - do you have a smart for four? I think it is triggered by the door hinge itself somehow. Any one else help?

A lot of modern cars have the switch located in the door lock mechanism.

i have just rung smart and they tell me it is in the lock mech - but they have not come across this before - I wonder. Thanks all
