Over the last few days I've been feeling anxious and on edge. My heart seems to be beating a bit quicker than usual but I can't quite put my finger on why I'm feeling this way.
I can't seem to snap out of it. Anyone have any remedies?

tigger, please, youre not alone in your thinkings, i too feel just like you, especially when it comes to new years eve, its a funny old time isnt it, and it can be sad too when youre feeling like this.
i too feel as though my life is just passing me by, not doing much with it, wasting it really and i get upset too with how fast time is whizzing by and how my family, ie my mum n dad one day wont be here with me etc as i too am not married and have no kids, and not even a bf any more.
so, please, try and not feel too anxious/down tigger, i know how youre feeling, and theres probably alot more than we think out there who will also be feeling a little down wednesday night too, its just that time of year isnt it...
so, try n keep your pecker up, i dont know about you, but once those flippin chimes are over and done with at midnight, well, it all seems a bit better then somehow!
xx

I thought I was the only one. I dislike New Years too for many of the same reasons you guys have listed. That anxious feeling is awful.. I have gotten some help with it from my doctor and a good counselor. I am normally an upbeat person and generally happy with my life (single, no kids) but this time of year gets to me.
Tigger, if the feeling persists see your doctor. I am not a big pill pusher, but a low dose of something can work wonders.
Hope it shakes off soon.

Hi tigger!
I hate NY Eve but over the last three years have been involved in organising a celebration at the local town hall raising money for Tourist Info Centre/Visitor Centre and we are busy from 9.a.m. til we collapse into bed at about 2.a.m. NY Day and I'm too busy to feel maudlin.
All the best to you xxx
