Disposing of an old computer

I need to get rid of my mother's computer, along with barely used printer and scanner, as she has no use for them now.

There is no sensitive information on it to worry about.

All theequipment is several years old, with Windows 98, so has no value now.

Is there a charity that would have any use for such stuff?

try freecycle if u go onto their website choose the location closest to you and joun thru yahoo. u can offer the things for free and you can also have things for free yourself its an excellant site that prevents so many things being taken to landfill allows people who cant afford things to have them and gives you the opportunity to have things yourself ......................try it its worth it

Thanks. I'll look into it.

However as I don't live near her, I don't want to arrange for unknown people to go round there.

I would rather collect it myself and drop itb somewhere.
