 the Carpathia was the first ship to attend the sinking of the titanic but didnt reach the site for several hours. The baltic and olympic followed but did not arrive till the next morning

The Carpathia, captained by Arthur Rostrom. It diverted and sailed at full speed, arriving the next morning and picking up the lifeboats.

Though some people say the California was only a couple of miles away from the Titanic during the disaster, across the ice field.
