cleaning a teapot

hi there, does anyone have any good ideas for cleaning the inside of a stainless stell teapot??? i ussed to use persil washing powder which was brilliant, left to soak overnight it was effective every time. as i no longer use it can anyone suggest any more proven remedies thanks

Hi, what I do is use those denture tablets, I throw in one at night with cold water and leave it. If you have a lot of tea stains then I usually put in 2 for a more stronger effect. brillo and other scrubbing methods don't get into the nook and funnel parts. If you buy the cheap tablets you have to use more since their effects are minimized.
It is quite annoying those tea stains. These tablets also make anything else stainless steel shiny if soaked. I usually do my cultery now and again to give them a shine.

I wouldn't want my tea pot spelling of bleach or vinegar. Don't buy another teapot.
Use the tablets. Leave to soak a whole night , then give it a quick scrub, use hot water to run up and down the spout to get the black dried tea bits out.
If you can invest in one of those tiny brushes, the type that clean babys bottles but much smaller to fit in the funnel of your pot that would make it much easier to clean out after the soak.
