Are you both in the US?

If not, where did original event take place?

Hi
I'm in UK, it was an ebay transaction that ran out of time. The seller sent the wrong item which was returned to them and they were to re-send the correct one. Ebay want no part of it as they said I should have filed a dispute. Yes thats true but I trusted the seller and believed her mistake was genuine.
This is very tricky and frankly I don't know.

As the seller is in the US I assume American law applies, in any case a UK court doesn't have jurisdiction over contracts that happened in the US.

What is the seller saying now?
Unless you are prepared to shell out much more than 100 in costs you can't do it.
It wasn't a doll was it ??? Seem to remember the same sort of thing happening a while back to someone ...
Its going to cost you more than that. Try and find someone who would be willing to buy this item from you...?
