Had an unexpectedly lovely day today meeting an old friend and going for an impromtu japanese lunch (none of that raw stuff though) then looking at holiday piccies over maple syrup lattes :)
Trying to do more walking to get healthier and went for a rather bracing walk round Salford Quays, gorgeous all lit up and deserted, must have been the only person mad enough as it was freezing lol :)
Finished work at around 1400, went to look at new fridge freezers (mine's broke), walked the dog and attended to some business.
What did you have to eat?
I've never tried Japanese food.
We had some miso soup then vegetable tempura, some beef (shashimi I think) which was pretty raw so I tried if but let my friend have most of it, then we got a little bento box each, had one with steak strips, rice, noodles and vegetables.
It's a lovely restaurant (http://new.samsi.co.uk/) but had been put off going there after a date I went on when we ordered some sushi and I couldn't eat most of lol :) Had some so as not to be rude though.
Did some cat-sitting this morning then took the aged parent for the weekly battle at Tesco. Quite quiet in there actually. made a nice change. Just spent the rest of the day pottering around at home, catching up on some chores. I will take the decorations down tomorrow but I'm putting it off as they look pretty
