eating ot of date rashers=wondering iwhether it tastes funny with every mouthfull,so you dont enjoy it,explosive diarrhoea, non stop projectile vomitting, days off work etc is not worth the 150 you paid for it girl,i say get yourself round to the butchers, get yourself a sweet suckling pig and throw that badboy on the barbque instead!
I am no-no.....this is at home and i am trying to convince my daughter that she most likely will not drop dead if she eats it.
If i was in a kitchen it would get binned rather than play around with other folks health.
Dates really serve as a guidline.....sometimes you need to use common sense, which not all people possess.

Cook it and see - I agree
I also agree with the "using common sense" suggestion - I just wish my kids would - yesterday my son wanted to throw out 4 perfectly good chicken breasts because the use by date way TODAY - I am putting a padlock on the fridge until he goes back home or there wont be anything left in it to eat by tomorrow - Yesterday, I had a very nice Muller yogurt 1 week past its use by date - nothing wrong with it and I didnt need a bucket by the bed last night :-))
