Goldfish eggs??
I've recently noticed some very small whiteish balls on some coral I have in my fish tank. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas if these were perhaps eggs and if so, what I should do? I only have one fish tank so I can't take the other fish out :S
Thanks for any feedback!

Did you notice the fish acting differently ie chasing about and rubbing against each other? The fact that they have turned white leads me to believe that if they are eggs they will be infertile however I've always had a pond not tanks so maybe the conditions will alter the hatching cycle
The fish have always chased each other a little, and I haven't noticed them doing it anymore then normal. The balls just appeared one morning on the coral, and from a closer inspection just now, they're also in their gravel. I cleaned the tank a couple of days ago and they weren't there then either - now it seems there are loads!
I'll keep an eye out over the next few days! Thanks very much :)

First make sure that the balls are smooth and round, if someone has overfed the fish it could be surplus food growing fungi. Eggs are smooth and as paddywak has stated, if they are white they will be infertile. I am surprised that the fish have not eaten the eggs.
Have a bit of a swirl over the gravel and see if you can see the same size balls, but clear, swirling through the agitated water. These are good eggs. If you like you can syphon some up with a hose into a bucket very slowly so you don't bruise the eggs. Suck enough water so the bucket has at least 6" of water with it. Cover the bucket with a teatowel or cloth. Some are sure to go bad in the bucket so If you have time, suck the bad (white) eggs out with a pipette (straw) twice a day. In a couple of days you will probably see some little slivers hanging on the sides of the bucket. They will become free swimming a day or two later and you now need to get some goldfish fry food and feed a little bit frequently.
Before you go to all that trouble make sure at least one of your fish has small pimples on the gills when they 'chase' these are the boys in breeding condition.
