Any advice: introducing 2 male kittens to another cat
1 Answers
Lordy! I typed up my very long explanatory question only for the browser to crash! Cant be bothered to type all out again.. but does anyone have any tips for introducing 2 male kittens to a 7yr old male who is missing his brother (sadly died in Aug). Harvey is very gently - very naughty and loved his brothers company and we think he is a bit lonely at the moment being the only cat. So hoped to get 2 kittens in the summer.
Have introduced kittens to a male cat before (when we got harvey and his brother), but wondered if anyone has any tips I may not know of.
How long would you keep them apart for etc
Thanks!

I would keep them in separate rooms to sleep, and feed them separately, maybe for a week or so, then let them roam together and sort out the initial pecking order.
Make sure you give Harvey lots of affection, make time for him on his own, away from the other two, and also let them see you fuss him, to enforce his status in the hierarchy.
You can pet them equally once everyone has settled down.
Good luck.
