More than half a day but less than a full day. If it is cold outside wear layers because one of the domes is very hot and you'll need to be able to cool down.
If plants are not your thing and you just want to experience the project, you could do it quicker subject to the pace of the crowd at the narrow points on the pathways.
It depends on your interest in plants - and also the time of year, as there are lots of areas to look at outside the Domes too, but I'd guess these would take more time in the summer as they're going to be better stocked then.
I went in March last year and though busy, it was still quite comfortable to walk around. In high summer though I've heard it gets very crowded.
Unlike many tourist attractions, make sure you have lunch while you're there - the food is really good and very reasonable I thought. Think I'm right in saying that they adhere to the general Eden ethos and only use organic produce.
