eBay? Pah!
22 Answers
I put a book for sale on eBay and on the last day of the auction I got an email telling me they'd removed the listing because I'd used the words "as new" in the description.
It IS as new - it has only been read once, and it's in perfect condition.
If they were gonna pull it off, why did they leave it until the last day?
Has anyone else got a gripe about eBay?

Yeah, I do feel a bit miffed. I accept that I breached their rules (accidentally) but we're not talking about an expensive item that I could have been trying to fleece someone with.
Ethel has a good point, and I agree with the ruling - but in the case of a bog-standard hardback book, seems bloody daft to me.
As it was so close to the end of the auction, I feel that they should've let it run, but sent me an email pointing out the error of my ways, and warning me not to do it again! After all, they failed to spot it for six days.
What bugs me most of all, is that they sent emails to the five bidders, telling them the item had been removed for breach of rules. Makes me sound like a con-merchant!
