i have just replaced 2 way gang 2 way switch. up stairs and downstairs.. but is now not working. it is old wiring.
the downstairs wiring has cable one red,black cable 2 red and black and cable 3 red black.
upstairs has cable one red red, cable two red blackand cable three red black.
the back plates read L1,L2,L3 AND L1,L2,L3 and the same up-stairs.
the only problem wired it up wrong. help

Anything other than adding a spur to the lighting circuit needs to be inspected and approved by a certified electrician. Also, any work involving electricity and water, e.g. in a kitchen, bathroom, garden etc MUST be actually done by a certified electrician.
"Qualified" is a difficult term in this legislation, since you may be qualified yet not certified. It is the certification that matters.
