Does anyone know the web site for the visa waiver application? It has to be done on-line now doesn't it, not on the plane? I don't mean a visa. I mean the visa waiver. Thanks.

It's called ESTA, Electronic System for Travel Authorisation; Apply here;

More about it here;

You'll have to copy & paste that first link, coz this annoying fourm software doen't make Secure http links (https) clickable !!
you have to do it at least three days in advance - don't wait till the night before

Please note, you have to fill out ESTA in advance, but for now, you still need to fill in the green Visa waiver form too.

However your ESTA will be valid for upto 2 years after as well.
After Jan 12th 2009 online completion will become mandatory for all Visa Waiver Programme travellers to the USA provided that the airline used is capable of receiving and validating ESTA data. If the airline does not have this capability, then the I-94W will continue to be used.

Here is the website for ESTA - it takes a few minutes to complete - BIG TIP it does not email you your confirmation so when you get to the final approvalpage with your approval code on it take a screengrab of this and keep aprinted out copy with you to show at the airport. If boarding a cruise ship you will also have to show this.
