Still visible e-mail

There is a question about waxing somewhere probably body and soul that the ed has removed the e-mail address as per site policy, yet if you click on the ed: removed as per site policy in red text it comes up with the correct e-mail address. So my question is, is the e-mail just visibly removed and still available for people to mail, or is this meant to be completely removed?

Little bit of sleuth work.. No I clicked on it by accident and my outlook express opened up my e-mail to his address!

Apparenlty the AB Eds would prefer it stays - its still there!!
