stupid question and probably in the wrong topic!

sad and mushy as it sounds i want to surprise someone on (yeah valentine's day) with a hot air balloon ride.

does anyone know if they do ballooning in feb?? as most web-sites ive checked are offering vouchers and most cant be used til about may(ish)

Yes at least some do - I saw one last week - but it will be weather dependent. Cold clear weather with little wind is what's needed. Too much wind/rain/snow and they are grounded.

I believe they can only fly either early in the morning, or late in the afternoon.

Also VERY dependant on the weather.

I went to a balooning festival a few years ago and spent the whole day there. Only ONE baloon took off all day, and that came down again after a few hundred yards.
