Peugeot 406 Faulty Switch

Does anyone know how to remove the rear demister switch from the dash on a Peugeot 406 1998. I think it may be faulty, but cant get it out to test or replace it.

Generally car buttons can normally be flicked out with a flat headed screwdriver, however you may wish to cushion the shaft when you lever against the rest of the dash...
