Burning dvds

Can anyone help I need to burn a dvd but everytime I try to do it either the disc is the wrong kind even though I have tried - and + or it just won't copy. Is there something I can do to just do a straightforward copy? Any help appreciated.

It's easy to use - put in your movie, open DVDShrink and hit the "open disk" button (top left).
It'll go through a quick scan of your disk.
Once done, it shows everything on the disk.
You dont have to, but i highlight everything on the left hand side of the screen, then click on "Backup"
Shrink will then ask where to back up to - just make sure it backs up to your DVD writer.
The bit below, which asks where to store temporary files, just select a folder in your My Documents (or wherever you want).
Click OK.
It should then start scanning and copying the disk proper.
After a while, it'll pop out your original disk, insert a blank disk.
It'll then burn your disk.
It's that easy.
