Me friend and I are looking at places to rent, we both have a ccj agianst us from about 4 and 5 years ago is this likely to cause a problem with renting from an agents

Depends on who your landlord is and whether they do credit checks and how they view the results.

You may not neccesarily be refused but may be asked to provide guarantors.

Letting agents do normally do credit checks and it will affect your chance then BUT it depends what the demand is for the property and how quickly the landlord wants a tenant
