Hellooo.... does anyone have any "insights" or just opinions/ideas about the Arthur Miller play "The Crucible"? I'm studying it at school and am finding it more interesting than my friends are :S neither of my parents have read it so it's hard to discuss with them..I'm interested in all the themes used, hidden meanings and stuff, just wondering if anyone has the same/different ideas from me, or has noticed something extra? Very grateful for any answers. Thanks. x

Isn't there alot to do with McCarthism in there. Salem/witch trials is linked to the politics of America duirng the 50s when government were trying to root out 'communists' from within the film community. There is alot of stuff on that topic. Not sure how to spell McCarthy. McCartheism??
