How many hours will there be (assuming the current conventions aren't changed) in the first quarter of the year 2100? (i.e. From Midnight on New Year's Eve 2099 to midnight on 31st March 2100).
playgirl unless I'm missing something here, the number of hours will be the same as in any year that isn't a Leap Year. I have assumed you mean Midnight to mean the end of that day. The total days will be
Jan (31) + Feb (28) + Mar (31) = 90 days, so the hours will be 90 x 24 = 2160.
Surely 2100 will be a leap year, as it is divisible by 4? Therefore total is 2184 -1 for clocks going forward = 2183. (You did say assuming current conventions aren't changed.)
