I have had a 1000W SOFT START power inverter fitted in my motorhome and it will not run my 10w TV. It will run my 700w kettle ok though. Why is this? can anybody help me please?

They generally need a minimum load to run.Try connecting a lamp or other loadup to 200 watts at the same time

Is it square wave or simulated sine wave?
Cheaper inverters are square wave and this can cause issue with electronic devices.
