However, it is not just the single point that you emphasise that militates against the existence of the miracle-worker Jesus, but all of those others. Also, please note that I was answering Gormless's claim that there is more evidence for Jesus than for Caesar, which is demonstrable nonsense.

People are prone to cherry pick evidence for everything from religion to science.
It's human nature.
Take Herodotus, according to him it was the Greeks who invented homosexuality as "it was they who taught the Persians how to have sex with young boys", was he right?
Were there really no gays in Persia prior to the Greek invasion?
So what else could he be wrong about?

What Theland is touching on is the hostility towards Christianity in relation to other (trendier?) faiths like Buddhism or Hinduism, which according to the visionary Peaches Geldof is a pretty "cool" religion.
I too would like to see more people question the need to have a cow in the room of a dying relative, not because I seek to pour scorn on Hindus merely because I'd like to see the people of no faith express their disbelief evenly.
