Centreparcs, Longleat

My boyfriend is 30 in October (doing a bit of early planning!) I was thinking of keeping it secret and taking him to Centreparcs in Longleat as he likes the outdoors and swimming etc. Have you been here, what did you like/dislike, what is the best type of lodge to get and would it make a good 30th birthday gift? I want to give him a memory he can keep rather than a brought gift!

We went there last January with our family, including a small child and a baby. We loved the fact that there was so much open space and greenery. The pool was fab, if crowded and the eateries were fairly priced, but a bit noisy. It was quite difficult to get about if you didn't want to cycle, as everything was so far apart, but there was a train thing that came round every now and then that was free to transport you to the main area. Unless your boyfriend likes children, it won't be a very romantic place to be for his 30th, but certainly, it is outdoors.
