This song was sung by Doris Day amd Gordon Macrae inthe 1953 film of the same name
Birth of the Blues is sometimes is referred to as
"The Birth of the Blues"
Bing Crosby sings the song.

75 is an error
I'm sure its on the new site
http://www.sitesaveronline.co.uk/quiz/
It certainly featured in film of same name but it was written in 1909, 20 years before talkies came in. May have been featured in some lesser known film - 3,5,2,3,5 ? - before 1953.
Judkins was Stevie W's own name so there's no doubt that's the answer, regardless of the 4,3.
If this is not a crossword, in which case you would have intersecting letters, I would just go with the suggested answers and ignore the numbers.

it has to be adam ant cos it has to spell a word down
OK, I now accept The Birth of the Blues, but Adam Ant's own name is Stuart Goddard.
Maybe there's a Stevie W song title which consists of 4,3.
I seem to remember this being sung in "The Jolson Story" which would be about 1946 - but that may be after Birth of the Blues.
Will someone listen to me lol
Its an error
setter has said so on the new quiz site
the answer is adam ant
forget steveland judkins and stevie wonder

i,ve listened to you smouse-read the fault line, agree with you entirely because a has to fit with the letters needed to make another star, and whilst you are on line have you come up with an alternative answer to the last question on the cc quiz that refers to cricket, or are you sticking with the answer everyone else has?The closing date of Feb 1st is fast approaching!
Thanks poodledoo was wondering where my support was lol

I've gone for concerning cricket which was suggested on here by someone - I think they said it was a book title

Question Author
thanks smouse, and don't panic the closing date on the cricket one is Feb 28th-it must have been another one I was struggling to finish!
Concerning Cricket was a book written by John Arlott, a BBC cricket commentator, in 1949
so " The Birth of the Blues" was all right, then? :o)
